The journal includes over 130 pictures and, while the blog I wrote during the trip served as the basis for the journal, I've added quite a bit of text to fill things out and hopefully make reading more enjoyable and interesting. Because of that, I've taken the blog down except for this single entry directing people to the journal..

You can post comments or questions if you wish by clicking on "Guestbook" at that website and you don't have to register to do this. I welcome any feedback you have and if you find errors, please let me know as I can still edit the journal.
Note: A couple of people have had a problem accessing the crazyguyonabike website because the Internet Explorer (IE) browser says the site's security certificate isn't valid. In actuality, the site is perfectly safe and there's a problem with IE (especially older versions running on Windows XP as well as with the new IE 9). You can safely click on the "continue to the website" option if you have this problem.
I've been in contact with Neil Gunton, the site's owner, and he's been working on resolving the problem which seems to stem from his new security certificates being more advanced than IE can handle. No other Internet browsers have a problem, only IE.
